Last time Philippa Harrison and James Willshire performed with us they received standing ovations (which did make us a little envious) but was just recognition of outstanding musicianship. Playing together, four hands on one grand piano, they delighted the audience and we are absolutely thrilled that they have agreed to join us again for our Christmas event.
Both are internationally acknowledged as exceptional pianists and with music from The Nutcracker – Tchaikovsky’s ballet set on Christmas Eve at the foot of a Christmas tree – they will be setting just the right tone for the coming celebrations.
Also joining Cirencester Male Voice Choir at the Parish Church in Cirencester’s Market Square on December 9th will by The Blue Notes, the ladies’ choir based in South Cerney under the direction of Louise Matley, a national examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
With mince pies to eat the interval, wines, soft drinks and the Church organ giving a rousing background to Carols sung with the audience, it will be a wonderful night of music.
Tickets can be purchased at Bingham House at 1 Dyer Street, Cirencester or on the door on the evening of the concert. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. For those wishing to book online…
