Cirencester Male Voice Choir will be taking part in the Town Council’s ‘Community Health and Wellbeing Week’.

From the 11th to 19th of June there will be a week-long series of events that bring local organisations and group together to showcase the array of services and activities available from organisations and groups in and around Cirencester, for all ages and abilities.

This free event will be held in the Market Place and in the Abbey Grounds and will include health & support services, charities, local groups, leisure, activity & sports clubs, that are all on our doorstep.

There is more and more evidence that singing in a group can have major health benefits, and Cirencester Male Voice Choir will be performing on Saturday 18th June outside the Parish Church during a day focussing on sports, theatre, singing/music, dance and wellbeing activities.

Singing in a choir can lower blood pressure, reduce stress levels, boost the immune system, reduce anxiety, improve breathing and instil a sense of community. Gloucestershire NHS is advocating singing as a powerful form of therapy.

The Choir will be performing outside the main doors of St John Baptist in the Market Place at noon.
