A lively and friendly choir in the heart of the Cotswolds

Cirencester Parish Church across the Abby Grounds

After all those months of rehearsals on Zoom we can at last get together again and sing outdoors (in a Covid-safe environment) and are looking forward to our first outdoor rehearsal at the Cirencester Rugby Club on May 17th. Soon we will post times of open rehearsals and would be delighted if anyone interested in joining would come along and sing with us as we prepare for a public concert in the Autumn and prepare for our Christmas charity event. Plus we will be getting ready for a trip to Cornwall for the International Male Choral Festival in May 2022. It isn’t really that long away!

It’s so easy to take part…

CMVC is a sociable group of men who just like singing. We are all about encouraging friendship and generating a strong musical unit. No need to have experience or to read music. We have practise tracks that can make any novice singer confident and engaged with our performances. Come and join us!

Grateful Thanks

We are delighted to report that our last virtual video raised £1570 for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The Choir performed the lilting ‘If We Only Have Love’ by Jacques Brel, and were joined by the JAM duo who played Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ on piano and cello. Our thanks to every who donated to this excellent cause that works to help so many people.

Over the years the Choir has raised many thousands of pounds for local and national charities. We will continue to help where we can.

Singing in Harmony

While we are a social men’s choir in the Cotswolds, we also take our singing seriously and are proud to have sung alongside so many wonderful choirs. We have performed with the London Welsh, Cotswold, Caldicot, and Gloucestershire Police Male Voice Choirs, The Brize Norton Military Wives, the Cirencester Singers, the Blue Notes,  Southampton Youth Concert Sinfonia,  Norway’s Sandneskameratene Choir and Ireland’s Gracenotes Ladies’ Choir.
